Youth Hub Helped Isaac and Adam Secure Work with G2BS
Our Youth Hubs continue to help young people aged 16–24 across North Ayrshire take their next steps into work. By offering tailored employability support and connecting with local employers, we’re helping create meaningful job opportunities that lead to lasting careers.
Through the Personal Recruitment Incentive (PRI), employers can receive up to £5,500 to create new jobs for young people. This funding recently supported two of our clients, Isaac and Adam, who both secured employment with G2BS following successful work trials.
Isaac’s Journey
Isaac first came to the Youth Hub in October 2024 looking for support to find work. With guidance from his Key Worker, Joanne, an action plan was created to build his confidence, develop his skills, and prepare him for employment.
Isaac took part in several workshops, including Skills and Qualities and Interview Skills, and completed online training in Manual Handling, Workplace Health and Safety, Customer Service, and Ladder Safety through our TrainMe platform.
After attending regularly and showing real commitment to his job search, Isaac was put forward for a warehouse position with G2BS. Following a successful work trial, he was offered a full-time Warehouse Operative role. He has settled in well and is making a valuable contribution to the team.
Adam’s Journey
Adam registered with CEIS Ayrshire and worked with his Key Worker, Steven, to find employment in the warehouse sector. With previous experience in logistics, food retail, and delivery work, Adam was keen to secure a stable role where he could use and develop his existing skills.
Steven supported Adam with updating his CV and cover letter, and he completed Manual Handling training alongside attending our Skills and Qualities and Interview Skills workshops. Adam also joined application sessions where he applied for a range of warehouse roles and received mock interview support to prepare for opportunities.
Adam was then put forward for the G2BS PRI role and, following a successful work trial, was offered a Warehouse Operative position alongside Isaac. Reflecting on his journey, Adam said:
“I wouldn’t have had a job if it wasn’t for CEIS Ayrshire.”
Positive Outcomes
Both Isaac and Adam are now thriving in their new roles at G2BS, demonstrating how dedicated support, employer partnerships, combined with PRI funding can make a difference for young people entering the workforce.
We’re proud to continue working with employers across North Ayrshire to open up more opportunities that help young people gain experience, build confidence, and achieve sustainable employment.
