Our reputation as a trusted partner is critical to everything that we do. We worked with WEA Scotland (Workers Educational Association) to provide employability training for Syrian refugees in Ardrossan Employability HUB with our online training portal, TrainMe. Over the course of two months, they completed various courses to help them improve and gain new skills to strengthen their employability, they found the courses and training provided by CEIS Ayrshire to be particularly useful and enjoyed their time with us.

In May, WEA, North Ayrshire council, the College and CEIS Ayrshire attended an event for the Syrian refugees in Saltcoats Townhall which was organised by North Ayrshire council. This event was for school leavers, and they were encouraged to apply for modern apprenticeships that North Ayrshire Council were advertising. We were there to also have a chat to provide any employability support that they may need.

We took some photos and had a chat with the people that attended the employability HUB in Ardrossan to hear their thoughts, here is what they had to say.

“We have been receiving online training for the last 2 months which we have found very useful, it supports and helps us a lot in terms of finding jobs and how to communicate. All the colleagues who are there support us on a regular basis, and we found it very useful for our daily life.”

– Ahmad Zamir Ahmadi.

“Course I have been doing at the hub is cyber security, business for Facebook and Twitter. The courses here are going to help with the job I want to get, I want to do media for YouTube. I like it and I want everyone to come and join CEIS Ayshire”
