One of our clients Brian was made redundant at the beginning of November last year due to the COVID pandemic.

Previously Brian had driven Forklifts for a living but only had an in-house certificate.  We supported him in applying for ITA Funding and he passed his Forklift license with Woodville in Glasgow at the end of November. We then assisted him in compiling a new CV adding the Forklift qualification.  Our team supported him to apply for 2 Janitorial positions in December and he attended our STAR Technique workshop to enhance his interview skills in the hope he would be interviewed for these positions. 

Unfortunately, he didn’t get to interview stage so we put him forward for a 2 week course in Warehousing in February with Brian passing all 6 courses.  With a further update to his CV completed, we supported him with a job application to a local explosives factory in Stevenston.

Brian has now gained employment and has settled in really well.
