What is the Personal Recruitment Incentive (PRI)?
CEIS Ayrshire are working with North Ayrshire Local Employability Partnership (LEP) to reduce youth unemployment across North Ayrshire, which is the highest in Scotland. We are supporting hundreds of young people to progress into employment.
To help with youth unemployment, a Personal Recruitment Incentive (PRI) grant is available to employers. This grant awards employers with a grant of up to £5,500 to support the hiring of young people (ages 16-24).
Employers can receive funding for up to two hires, with start dates between April 2024 and September 2024. The PRI amount varies based on hours worked and wage offered, with encouragement to pay the Real Living Wage.
To apply for the funding please complete the application form, we will forward suitable candidates to you for interview.

How Does It Work? We’ve made the process simple and straightforward:
- Apply for the grant by filling out the PRI application form
- Create a job opening for the young person.
- If successful, leave the rest to us and we will match your job with the right candidate.
- Once the position is filled, you’ll receive up to £5,500 to support the new hire.
